New Systems Officer album done!

hey hey.. i just wanted to let everyone know who's interested that i finally finished the new systems officer album. its taken a lot longer then i ever wanted or planned, but in the end im really happy with it. i hope everyone will enjoy it. there are 10 songs. the album comes out on Temporary Residence Limited on November 3rd 2009. i will also have copies on hand when pinback goes on tour later this year in october '09. http://temporaryresidence.com/ thanks for being patient.. :-) -zach

um... hello. silly silly me, I've been a Pinback fan for a while but today I just discovered the Systems Officer song Forever This Cyanide... I'm obsessed with it now... it's the loveliest song I heard in a long time - I love EVERYTHING about it. (sorry to gush...) Ah, bliss. I am listening to it now. It's PERFECT.

P.S. Come to Australia if you can, as Systems Officer or Pinback, or better still, BOTH!!

Hi Zach,
When I spoke to you in Manchester, you said you were still working on your Systems Officer album. I was just wondering when you're hoping to have it out... Even if it's not until next year or longer, I just want to know how things are going. I miss your music mate...

Meeting Zach

Last night, after the Pinback show in Austin, my husband and I got to meet Zach and Rob!!!!! Not that I don't like Rob or anything.... but I was more excited to meet Zach. My palms were sweaty and I was in some sort of strange dream state. Maybe it was just a contact high from the joints being passed through the crowd during the opening act. Who knows!?

Zach I was wondering how you learned to do all the stuff you do like Recording and playing and so on. Did you take sound tech classes or did you just learn from trial and error? Also, have you ever taken piano/bass lessons or was it just a self tought thing?
